From Advocacy to Action: Join Us in Supporting Mandy's Mission

July marks the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)—a landmark civil rights law that forever changed the lives of millions of Americans by expanding access, opportunity, and inclusion for people living with disabilities.

While the ADA has helped remove many barriers over the past 35 years, another journey continues: advancing rehabilitation, restoring function, and pursuing breakthroughs that can improve the lives of those living with spinal cord injuries and paralysis.

At Reneu Health, we are honored to be alongside individuals who remind us every day that resilience is stronger than adversity. This month, we'd like to recognize one of those extraordinary individuals.

Client Spotlight: Mandy Salas

Thirty-four years ago, at just 16 years old, Mandy Salas sustained a spinal cord injury in a life-changing car accident. Although her path changed dramatically, her determination never did.

Today, Mandy continues to inspire those around her—not only through her perseverance, but through her commitment to helping others.

This November, Mandy has assembled a team of runners to participate in the New York City Marathon as part of "Movin' for Mandy," benefiting the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.

Together, the team has set an ambitious goal of raising $150,000 to accelerate spinal cord injury research and help create a future where paralysis no longer means forever.

Every donation supports groundbreaking research, innovative treatments, rehabilitation, advocacy, and resources that give hope to individuals and families living with paralysis.

Why This Matters

At Reneu Health, we witness every day what determination, rehabilitation, and community support can accomplish. We also know there is still so much more that can be achieved through continued scientific discovery.

Organizations like the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation are helping move the field of spinal cord injury research forward, bringing us closer to new therapies and, ultimately, greater recovery opportunities.
